The Exo Terra UVB 200 is designed to simulate natural conditions for reptiles with very high UVB requirements like diurnal reptiles from desert environments. This lamp will offer the highest yield of vitamin D3 photosynthesis for preventing metabolic bone disease in basking reptile species. Use this lamp for large or tall enclosures. Suitable for tortoises, bearded dragons, monitor lizards, uromastyx and other species that can be found basking in full sunlight. The UVB200 is a CFL lamp available in 26 watts and 13 watts. Use the 26 watt bulb for maximum light output through screen top terrarium covers.

UVB lamps should be replaced every 6 months when used 10-12 hours on a daily basis. This light will continue to emit light, but UVB output will diminish after 6 months.
